The Bose QuietComfort 15 offers a smaller, more compact design when compared to older Bose earphone models. With the Bose QuietComfort 15, the company expanded the range of frequencies that are blocked or muted dramatically, leaving the user to less disturbing noise and clearer sound, should they so choose. The earphones use a AAA battery with 35 hours of life, unlike the Bose QuietComfort 3 headphones which use a rechargeable lithium battery. Bose markets the QuietComfort 15 earphones as being lightweight with a redesigned ear pad cushion for added comfort.

The customer reviews for the Bose QuietComfort 15 are far better than other Bose noise reducing / cancelling headphone models. Both frequent flyers and normal, everyday users rave about the noise reduction achieved when the earphones are in place.

Customers specifically talked about the ability to reduce noise between the Bose QuietComfort 15 and the QuietComfort models 2 and 3. According to one review, model 15 shuts out the world with better noise cancelling than any of the other models. Specifically, the QuietComfort 15 improved the cancellation of white noise. White noise can include air conditioning units and air filtration systems.

Not every customer, however, loved the Bose QuietComfort 15 headphones. Once these are blocked, the user will be able to better hear the music they are listening to, or nothing at all. The earphones fit snugly over the ear so it is best to ensure a snug fit between the ear and the ear pads occurs for optimal noise cancelling.
